For the entire month of August, there are rituals and ceremonies, preparing the earth for planting, with prayers for a good harvest, and expressing gratitude for all that Pachamama provides. We are happy to report that, thanks to generous donations and sales in the ARI Marketplace, this last year we were able to see many of our plans come into fruition. Some of the highlights over the past year were: completing the construction of the outdoor workshop space, completing our volunteer living space including kitchen and laundry facilities, creating the children’s library and reading room, purchasing video equipment for the kids. And we are thrilled to say that ARI Medical Services is up and running, thanks to Dr. Martin Legat, whose grand vision it was to build a clinic and provide orthopedic and medical care to the people of Maras and surrounding communities.
